Greetings from Calypso Cay!
The Pool is Open! Grand Opening happened this week. The New Owner's Pool opened officially on Tuesday, July 17th at 9am with our first guest in the new pool being 10 year old Sarah from Knoxville, TN.
Many of our owner's had expressed an interest in additional amenities so there are now two (2) basketball hoops and a sand volleyball court all within the new pool area. An additional stage is being built for us
to have live music poolside and 4 gas grills which are extremely popular for our owners to use during their stay. The Tiki Bar is almost 3x the size of the other one on site and it is being developed to ensure that
our owners can get a snack or a light meal throughout the day. The New Tiki Bar should be open for customers very soon! Having a food outlet on the premises was one of the major requests from our owners and our
internal surveys.
The new pool has "twin slides" due to the popularity of the single slide we have at the other pool. In an effort to accommodate the numerous requests for the additional amenities the new pool is
a "zero depth entry" pool as opposed to the lazy river concept.
We are continuing to add new features and there are crews working on the project each and every day and we're extremely excited about these new amenities.

Here are a few pictures of the first guests at the new pool complex on July 17th, 2007. The first 2 photos are of the first guest to take a swim in the new pool as well as use the new slides. Sarah, 10, was
vacationing with her mother Mary Ann and were both very excited about the new pool. Mary Ann and Sarah were at Calypso Cay through an II Exchange. They are owners in New Hampshire. The last 2 photos are of
the first guests to use our new basketball courts. Dennis, David and Lee from Georgia were also visiting Calypso Cay through an Exchange.
July 23rd, 2007
Construction of the new pool has been completed. As you can see from our newest pictures (See the new pictures just added) the pool is open and ready for you! The new sports court is open as well and the
beach volleyball court has been laid out as well right next to the pool area. The pool house is open and the new tiki bar is very close to completetion. This will be the final construction update of the
new pool area. Be sure to see the newest pictures that include some great photos of the pool on a perfect Florida evening (#60-67), taken from the roof of Phase 1. Overall 23 new pictures (#56-78) were
added on July 17th.
In the area between Phases 5 and 6 we have completed our picnic area. It has turned out great - with gas grills, a beautiful patio, plenty of shade and seating areas, music playing in the background and tons of tropical plantings for you to enjoy. If you
want a laid back, quiet area to enjoy a picnic with your family, this is then place to be. Look forward to some great gazebos that will provide shade and finish off the area!

You can now surf the internet on your own wireless device all around the pool area. All you need is an internet device that is capable of finding a wireless network. If you would like to access the net with your laptop from anywhere in the resort, see the Front Desk about renting a Sprint AirCard!
